Momentum Markets
In plain English: this board shows which parts of the global market — countries, sectors, styles and themes — are showing the strongest relative performance versus the global market, and which are beginning to improve.
Markets are ranked by relative strength versus the MSCI ACWI World Index. The RRG column places each market into one of four quadrants based on relative strength and momentum:
- Leading — outperforming and gaining momentum.
- Weakening — outperforming but losing momentum.
- Lagging — underperforming and losing momentum.
- Improving — underperforming but gaining momentum. An early sign of potential improvement.
The framework is designed to identify where relative market leadership is strongest and where it is beginning to change. It is rules-based and driven by price and momentum data rather than subjective views.

Relative-strength leadership is a starting point, not a complete thesis. Before buying a leader, ask what is driving it — when several markets lead at once, they are often the same macro bet expressed multiple times. Open the chart and confirm a clean clockwise rotation through Improving → Leading carries more weight than a fresh print just above the 100 line.
