1. What we collect
FollowTheFinance.com is a public research site with no user accounts. We do not ask you to register, and we do not collect personal information such as your name, email, or financial details.
Like every website, our hosting provider receives standard HTTP request data (IP address, browser type, referring page, timestamp). This is used solely for operating the site, preventing abuse, and aggregated analytics on which pages are visited.
2. Cookies
The site uses only the minimum cookies required for it to function and for basic anonymous analytics. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.
3. Data we do not collect or sell
We do not collect financial account information, portfolio holdings, or trading activity. We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for marketing.
4. Third-party data sources
The site fetches public market data and headlines from third-party providers (e.g. Yahoo Finance, Google News, Finnhub). Your interactions with our site are not transmitted to those providers; we fetch their data server-side and serve it back to you.
5. Your rights (GDPR / similar)
Because we don't store personal accounts, there is generally no personal data of yours to access, correct, or delete. If you believe we hold any data about you and want it removed, contact us and we will act on the request.
6. Changes
This policy may be updated to reflect changes in the site or in legal requirements. The "last updated" date above will change when it does.
